NEOSCOPE
A vision of the future with nothing but the stars above us and the monuments we built to understand them.
My analogue photography of Scotland’s standing stones, NASA space telescope images of the cosmos, and poetry I wrote at the Alasdair Gray Archive - a collaboration 5000 years in the making.
The design and construction of these astronomically aligned stone monuments were huge community collaborations, just as the unbelievable images produced with these space probes are a huge collaborative community effort today.
With this book, I like to think I have brought together in collaboration these two communities of ancient and modern astronomers.
21cm x 21cm, 24 pages, gold risograph cover based on my own illustration.
Some really kind words from the exhibition;
“Absolutely mesmerising concept and work”
“A must for all space lovers”
